Born August 4th, 2008. These are oustanding and very special puppies. These puppies have united our Lab family and we are so proud! We had nine beautiful puppies: 5 males (2 yellow, 3 black) 4 females (1 yellow, 3 black) This was a litter out of:

Jack and Jezebel Birth to Week One At birth First day Nursing Look at my babies! The Princesses The Princes Five days old The Pink Ladies Sunshine and Lemon Drop The Blues Brothers The Golden Boys The Red Devil We did well on our first week. Our mom's temperature dropped 3 days early. Our vet, Dr. Cindi decided it was time for us to be born. We were born by C-section on Monday. We were big and strong. We got a checkup on Tuesday, and on Thursday our dewclaws were removed. We screamed! However, we were happy to nurse immediately. Our dog mommy is getting used to us. We get a bottle 3 times a day. We love the bottle and we love our mommy. We gain weight every day. Our "person" mommy is still on summer vacation. She has to go back to work next week.

We opened our eyes today! Sunshine, Lemon Drop & Red Devil Who needs a pillow? I've got my sister! The black babies Snow White, BJ, and Pink in the background Does this ribbon make me look fat? All of us at the end of our second week Our second week was good. Rosy went back to work Thursday, but came home at lunch time to see us and our mommy. Lewis watched over us while she was away. Our mommy is spending more time with us and we think she's feeling better from her surgery. We're getting to be real pigs. We eat, and eat, and eat. A couple of us met our daddy, Jack Saturday morning. He wasn't quite sure what we were. Our grandmas, Bailey and Maddie check us out every once in a while. This Sunday morning three of us opened our eyes, by the afternoon, three more were open, and by evening, two more. We're still waiting for the one more. Our mommy's staples came off today and she's feeling so much better. We're getting to be real handfuls though. Some of us are walking already and trying to climb out of our box.

Some girls got messy And some boys did too But Mommy cleaned us up And then we went to sleep!   On the first day of our third week, we got our first deworming (although we have no worms!), our nails were cut, and now all of us have our eyes open. Our mommy can't get away from us now! We're learning to play with toys. Friday we got our first meal in dish even though we're not quite three weeks old yet. We got goat's milk, baby oatmeal and a little honey. We took to it like ducks to water!

Jack and Jezebel Week Four Lemon Drop & Red Devil I ate so much, it's quiet time... Leaning on my brother & sister Snow, upside down Snow's head Snow awake JJ asleep JJ almost upside down Snow & BJ Oh Baby Blue! Sunshine, Lemon Drop & Pink We think we'll need a new basket next week. We started eating ground puppy food this week. It tasted yummy and we love the mess! We can now run, not just walk. We love to play with each other and hear the sound of our own voices. Saturday morning a bunch of us climbed out of our box and right into Rosy's bed, as she still sleeps in our room. It was a lot of fun. Our grandma, Maddie was sleeping in there too.
